We’re Crafting the One Water 2100 Master Plan!

By February 1, 2023No Comments

Following months of community engagement, Tucson Water has begun crafting the One Water 2100 Master Plan, which will help guide Tucson Water’s capital and financial planning, conservation practices and policy decisions. Using the One Water approach to master planning means considering important factors like environmental sustainability, social equity, and economic vitality.

Additionally, the One Water 2100 Master Plan will contribute to Plan Tucson, the City of Tucson’s General and Sustainability Plan.

From July 2022 through January 31, 2023, Tucson Water conducted a variety of public engagement activities to gain feedback from its customers. A website was launched to help educate the public about the One Water 2100 Master Plan. Additionally, a large Town Hall meeting was hosted to kick off the public engagement process and increase awareness about the plan. The Tucson Water team also hosted several workshops, conducted stakeholder interviews and made presentations to multiple community groups to gain further community feedback. One Water 2100 information was brought to many community events, both large and small. And, several surveys were conducted in English and Spanish to gain feedback from over 2,000 respondents.

As the One Water 2100 Master Plan continues to be developed, TucsonOneWater.com will remain active to provide periodic updates and to allow customers to contact Tucson Water with questions about the plan. Tucson Water customers and encouraged to sign up for the One Water 2100 newsletter and follow Tucson Water on its social media channels for regular updates.
